Why Give?

The Bible asks us to give our first and our best back to God, and He will bless the rest. God tells us in Malachi 3:10 that His people can test Him with their giving to see if He is faithful: 

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing...” (Malachi 3:10)

If the thought of testing God at His word as He asks His people to do in Malachi 3 intrigues you, we invite you to join us in the 90-Day Giving Challenge. It involves prayerfully committing to increase your giving back to God for 90 days so you can watch for His faithfulness.

The increase for you might not be an increase to 10% as God asked of His people in Malachi. It could be an increase to any percentage in your giving (3%, 5%, 8%, 10%, 15% etc.).

If after 90 days of increased giving you don’t feel that God has proven Himself faithful, we’re willing to return to you every dollar you’ve given over the last 90 days. 

We’re willing to do this because we believe in God’s Word and His faithfulness.

Countless people experience God’s blessings when they give, but often the first step is the hardest to take. The 90-Day Giving Challenge is a money-back guarantee of sorts. Essentially, it’s a contract based on God’s promises in Malachi 3:10.

If after 90 days of increased giving you don’t feel that God has proven Himself faithful, we’re willing to return to you every dollar you’ve given over the 90 days. 

    1. I understand this form must be completed and received by the Northridge Church Finance Team prior to the beginning of the 90-day Giving Challenge Period.

    2. I understand my household qualifies for participation because we are increasing our gift level.

    3. I understand I cannot seek a refund prior to the end of the 90-Day Giving Challenge Period and that I cannot seek a refund for any contributions made prior to the beginning of the 90-Day Giving Challenge Period.

    4. I understand the Northridge Church Finance Team must receive any request for a refund within 30 days of the end of the 90-Day Giving Challenge Period.

    5. I understand if paid at a physical Northridge Campus, my gift must be paid by check or by a completed offering envelope so that my gift can be properly credited.

    6. I understand I must log in prior to paying my gift online so that my gift can be properly credited.

    7. I would like to test God’s faithfulness by accepting the 90-Day Giving Challenge. I agree that for the 90-day period, my household will give to God through Northridge Church at a rate higher than we contributed in the past. At the end of the 90-day period, if I am not convinced of God’s faithfulness to bless my life as a result of my obedience to His Word, then I will be entitled to request a refund of the full amount of contributions made during this 90-day period.
