Deaf Access

Northridge Church values diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in our daily interactions and at our campuses. We recognize the large and diverse Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HH) population in the greater Rochester area. Of the 1.1 million Rochester area residents, about 45,000 are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (over 4%).

We strive to make our church a place where Deaf people have full access to experience the love of Christ and grow in their love and knowledge of Him.

What to expect:

  • Interpretation of worship and sermons live on Sunday mornings and fully captioned videos. Currently available at the 9:45AM service at the Rochester Campus

  • Monthly focused “Silent Lunches” on the first Sunday of each month. A place where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing people learning sign language can come together and fellowship. Currently, at noon in the Rochester Campus Gym

  • Captions on all our CW Channel Sermons. (Currently, Sunday mornings at 11AM on the CW channel)

  • Other opportunities to experience Northridge's events and programs such as Northridge in 5, Community Groups, Baptisms, Night of Worship, Explore Faith, NYA, NYM, Membership classes, and more.
