Give
Giving is not just a financial transaction; it's an act of obedient faith, a demonstration of love, and a way to make a lasting impact on our community and beyond.
The ministry of Northridge Church is funded by God's provision through the tithes and offerings of our faithful church family. We honor God's provision by exercising wise and faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and full accountability to remain above reproach in financial integrity.
Why Giving Matters
We aim to be a church family that is ridiculously generous. It's not about the amount you give but the intention and heart behind it. A generous heart is one marked with contentment in Christ.
“I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” - Philippians 4:10-11
“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. - 1 Timothy 6:6-10
We give because He gave first.
God challenges us to trust Him for all we need and to use our money to do good. Your financial partnership with Northridge Church in pursuit of More and Better followers of Jesus is so appreciated.
One of the most recognizable passages in the Bible reminds us that God gave the greatest gift - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
Our money reveals our hearts.
Where we put our money reveals our priorities in life. And we want to be marked by generosity as we give to see lives changed and hearts impacted.
“Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” - Matthew 6:20-21
God owns it all.
God calls us to steward what he has entrusted us with.
God calls us to test him in generosity and that he will provide exactly what we need.
God calls us to give him our first and best.

FAQs

A tithe is a portion of your income given specifically to your local church. The word “tithe” literally means “tenth” in Hebrew, the language of the Old Testament. While it is important to give your time and talents, tithing refers explicitly to giving your money. 1 Corinthians 16:2 says “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income.”
An offering is anything you give beyond your tithe and is a testimony to the generosity within your heart. God has provided abundantly at Northridge Church, and we know He will provide abundantly for you and your family when you put Him first in all things.

God tells us to tithe. He knows it is good, so He tells us to do it. Our tithes and offerings help the church with outreach, especially during tough times when people are reaching out for help. Trusting in God and His plan while putting Him first in all things results in God’s blessing, often when we need it most.
