Transforming Communities in Jesus Name
We believe in mobilizing the church to strengthen families so that lives are transformed in the name of Jesus. When families in our communities are in crisis, it is the work of the church to be ready to step in to help. Jesus said it best,
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” - Matthew 25:40
The CarePortal is an online platform that helps to bridge the gap between children in need and churches that want to help. Through the platform, Monroe County caseworkers to input needs for their clients. These needs are then shared with local churches including Northridge and we have the opportunity to meet these needs and build a connection with families in crisis. Across our campuses, we have over 100 serve team members who have supported over 550 children.
CarePortal mobilizes the church to walk with families in crisis.
JOIN a care TEAM
Our care teams at Northridge are open to new responders. The first step toward joining our team is completing the online CarePortal Orientation, found at the link below! Responders will receive real-time needs for the 5-10 mile radius closest to their campus and respond to needs as they are able.
Giving to careportal
We are always collecting items to give away through CarePortal. Our teams are out in the community showing the love of Jesus by caring for children and families during moments of crisis. Across Monroe County, our church is stepping in to provide for needs vetted by county caseworkers and delivered with the love of Jesus. A bed, lockbox, or door alarm can provide the safety and stability a child needs to thrive.

Kayla’s Story
“My whole apartment was empty, and I was wanting to have a home for my daughter, but I was struggling to pay rent and picked up a second job, just trying to do everything I could to get my daughter back…” - Kayla
Kayla’s caseworker put a need for a crib into the CarePortal. Two team members met the need, and over the course of the next few months continued to touch base with Kayla, bringing her several other items when she had need. They consider it a blessing to have been able to get to know Kayla and to be able to walk with her through this time.
It was the greatest thing to have people who are there supporting me because you don’t feel so alone.” - Kayla
