KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of September 27th

 

We hope that the following step by step process is helpful as you lead your kids each week.

If your family is choosing to continue connecting with us online each week, we hope this process will guide you in providing a spiritual experience for your kids. Feel free to split up the steps throughout the week or do it all at one time. If your family is comfortable and able to worship with us on Sundays, these steps can be used as review throughout the week. However you decide to use it, keep talking to your kids about what they learned so that they can see how the truths of the Bible apply to all areas of their lives.

Another important aspect of all of our Kids Ministry environments is music. If you are using the Parent Cue to guide your kids through a “Church @ Home” experience, you may want to add a few fun worship songs to the experience! Did you know that Northridge Kids has a Spotify Playlist for both Elementary and Preschool? These playlists can help connect and reinforce God’s Word in a kids heart. Check out the playlists below:

Preschool Resources

Bible Story: Journeys for Jesus—Paul’s journey and trials

Big Idea: Jesus tells all His friends to go into the whole world and preach God’s Good News. Everyone needs you to share Jesus with them, everywhere you go!

Step 1: Watch the video with your preschoolers.

Step 2: Review with your kids.

Ask your kids: Who should I share Jesus with? (Share Jesus with everyone!)

Step 3: Practice the Memory Verse with your preschoolers.

Memory Verse:“Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone..” Mark 16:15 NLT

Step 4: Print the Adventure Guide to use with your preschooler throughout the week.


Elementary Resources

STEP 1: Review the Life Application for the month

Life App: Friendship—Using your words and actions to show others you care

STEP 2: Read the BIble Passage with your kids

Bible Story: I’ll Be There for You (Jesus Forgives Peter) • John 21:1-19

STEP 3: Watch the Video with your Kids (Ideal for Kindergarten-3rd grade).

Or watch this Video with your Kids (ideal for 4th-5th graders).

STEP 4: Practice this month’s Bible Verse with your kids.

Memory Verse: “A friend loves at all times and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17 (NIV

STEP 5: Review with your kids.

Bottom Line: Friends forgive one another.

Ask Your Kids: How do you react when a friend hurts you?

STEP 6: Print the God Time and use throughout the week.
