KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of January 3rd

Happy New Year! As we kick off 2021, we hope that you and your family have a great start to the new year.

Kicking off a new year is also a great opportunity to put some new routines into place that will set your kids up to grow in their faith this year. Perhaps your goal is to engage your kids in more meaningful discussions over the dinner table or while you’re driving around in the car. We have a tool to help you with that! You can sign up for our free text blasts. By signing up, you will receive one text each week with a meaningful question to discuss with your kids. We have a question for our preschoolers and another one for our elementary age kids. Learn more about it here.

Another goal might be to create a regular time for Bible reading/study with your kids. Below, we have a few resources to share with you that may help you with this goal.

PRESCHOOL:

Throughout the month of January, our preschoolers will be learning about the story of the paralyzed man whose friends bring him to Jesus to be healed. If you have the YouVersion Bible app on your phone, you may be aware that there are thousands of reading plans to help you spend time in God’s Word. Life Church has a 6 day devotional for each series that our preschool environments are using. To access this month’s reading plan, go to the bible app on your phone, search under plans for Through the Roof (Bible App for Kids) or simply click here.

ELEMENTARY:

If you have kids in our Elementary environments, we would suggest trying this 14 day reading plan, I Can Learn the Bible: The Joshua Code for Kids. This plan works through some of the foundational beliefs of the Christian faith in kid friendly language. As mentioned above, you can find this on the YouVersion Bible app or by clicking here.

We hope that you find these resources helpful in leading your families! Have a great week!
