Baptism: Allison Klee
Allison attended church regularly during childhood but never felt any real spiritual change. She understood who Christ was on a religious level but never felt a personal connection to him. Even though she’d spent her childhood in church and read the Bible with her parents, she felt she had missed something.
When she met some girls her age at Nazareth College who regularly met to discuss the Bible, Allison was captivated by how they interacted with Jesus and studied the Bible in a way that gave meaning to their lives and everyday experiences.
After witnessing this new “version” of what it meant to live out faith, Allison felt she’d been doing it wrong all along. Through spending time with her new friends and coming to Northridge, she finally started to genuinely believe in the truth of the Gospel in a way that began to change her life.
Since knowing Christ, Allison has found a powerful comfort in God’s bigger plan for her life, realizing that she can trust him with control over the details of her life. She has someone who can direct her path and lead her through life. Allison finds a lot of inspiration through worship music here at Northridge and felt the push to become baptized after a particular service that spoke to her. She felt ready to take the next step, wanting to share her story and proclaim her faith, specifically for her community at Naz, so they can have the opportunity to find the same hope she has.
