In His Image - Jen Wilkin
Women’s Study
Sometimes we ask What is God’s will for my life? when we should really be asking Who should I be? The Bible has an answer: Be like the very image of God.
By exploring ten characteristics of who God is―holy, loving, just, good, merciful, gracious, faithful, patient, truthful, and wise―this book helps us understand who God intends for us to be. Through Christ, the perfect reflection of the image of God, we will discover how God’s own attributes impact how we live, leading to freedom and purpose as we follow his will and are conformed to his image.
Ladies, we will read the book independently during the week, then come together on a video call or in person to discuss the questions for deeper learning and impact. Buy the book HERE and register below for your preference of meeting in person or online for this 4 week study!
Date: Thursdays July 16 - August 6
Facilitator: Nancy Simmonds
Time: 7-8pm
Note to Self - Joe Thorn
We need good preaching—preaching that challenges us by God’s Word and brings the comfort that comes from God’s promises. Yet many of us rely solely on others to preach to us and are not benefitting from the kind of preaching that should be most consistent and personal—preaching to ourselves.
Note to Self is a practical introduction to this daily discipline. Pastor Joe Thorn delivers fifty brief, devotional chapters that model preaching the gospel to ourselves and its practical implications. Readers will be challenged by the book’s direct, personal exhortations to apply the gospel to their own lives.
Participants will read during the week and then join an online video call to discuss the content together. Buy the book HERE and register below for this 4 week study!
Date: Thursdays July 16 - August 6
Facilitators: Jon and Kirsten Larson
Time: 7:30-8:15pm
Theology 1
For the Church (FTC) Institute, in conjunction with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, exists to equip, encourage, and edifiy the church from the inside out.
If diving deeper into understanding who God is or knowing the story of Scripture more sounds interesting, it’s safe to say you will find FTC Institute helpful. If you’re at the beginning of your faith journey, the Institute can help you make sense of what’s going on in the Bible.
We will meet in person (following necessary social distancing guidelines), watch video teaching content from Dr. Owen Strachan, and discuss the content.

MLK50
The dialogue around race and the national response has been in the headlines for weeks now. How should we approach these issues in light of God's word? In this Equip class from The Gospel Coalition’s MLK50 conference, we'll hear from respected theologians as they unpack the state of our culture on race relations and dive into the role the Gospel plays in bringing hope, healing, and reconciliation to our broken world.
This course is intended for those who don't know where to start to play a positive role in bringing healing and are open to an honest dialogue about race and faith. We will meet in person (following necessary social distancing guidelines), watch video teaching content from different theologians and leaders, and discuss the content for 4 sessions.
