The Book of Ephesians

April 3 - May 16, 2022 (6 Sessions)

If you desire to better understand Christianity and live out an obedient faith, there is no better place to start than studying the book of Ephesians.

In Paul's letter to the church in Ephesus, Paul lays a rich theological foundation that undergirds the faith of Christianity. He then explains how that foundation impacts every aspect of our lives from our relationship to God, the church, and our relationships with non-Christians, people of other ethnicities, our friendships, spouse, kids, and parents.

Some of the topics Paul addresses in Ephesians include:

  • God’s sovereignty, election, predestination, and salvation

  • God's design for healthy churches

  • Parenting

  • How to have a healthy marriage

  • Men’s and women’s roles in marriage

  • How to grow spiritually

  • The Holy Spirit’s role in our lives

  • How to overcome relational strife

  • How to fight against Satan

  • Overcoming temptation

The study of Ephesians is offered on Sunday mornings at Rochester, Webster, and online during the week.

TImes:

  • Rochester: Sundays, 10:30am

  • Webster: Sundays, 10:30am

  • Online: Mondays, 8:00pm

Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world.

Pastor and author J.D. Greear walks through the powerful words of Paul. In this 6 week class J.D. digs into the text of Ephesians verse-by-verse and challenges believers to live out the gospel. If the people of your city, of your school, of your family are going to hear the gospel, it's going to be from your mouth. Encounter Ephesians, and get swept up into the story of Jesus.
