1. Think about what was mentioned about the word hope. What’s an example of using the word hope differently than how Paul uses it in Colossians?

2. In your own words, how would you explain what Paul is thankful for in these verses?

3. Why do you think Paul starts his letter by focusing on hope?

Reread Colossians 1:3-7; 13

1. How do faith, love, and hope relate to one another in these verses? How do you see that play out in the life of believers you know?  Think of the questions below to help you answer:

1. Who is someone whose faith you look up to?

2. How do you see their faith on display in how they love others?

3. How does that connect back to having hope in Jesus?

2. Look at verse 6 & 13. How have you seen the gospel change lives (share how it has changed your life personally too!)?
