Parent Cue: week of May 10th

This weekend is Mother’s Day or was Mother’s Day depending on when this post finds you. Even though today may not be what you had in mind we hope you are making the most of the moments you have! Below you will find several resources that we hope will help you to leverage the moments that you have with your kids.

  • First, the Northridge Kids memory verse videos that our team has created to help your kids put God’s Word in their heart!  These videos, for both our preschool and elementary aged kids, provide some simple American Sign Language to help kids learn the monthly verse.

  • Also, this month our Elementary Kids are learning about Determination. We are challenging kids to use Determination as they learn the books of the Bible. Last week, we shared our “Books of the Bible” playlist.  This week, we have a set of printable cards to help your kids memorize the books. Tune into our Instagram account each Wednesday for a game you can play with the cards to help make learning fun for your kids.  If you would like a printed copy of the cards on cardstock, fill out this form and we’ll mail you a set of cards!

Thanks for partnering with us and enjoy these resources!

Preschool

Memory Verse: “Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love.”

Romans 8:39, NIrV

Bible Story Focus: God made me, and He loves me.

God Made Me • Genesis 1:26; Psalm 139:14

Ask your kids: Who loves you? (God loves me)

Elementary

Memory Verse: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 NIV

Bible Story: Spirit Thing (The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost) • Acts 2:1-41

Bottom Line: God gives you what you need to keep going.

Ask your kids: What helps you keep going?

What current situation are you in right now that you need to access some determination for?
