Parent Cue: week of May 24th

Engage with us this week for a few minutes as your family hopefully has some family time together! Talk about the bottom line, practice the monthly memory verse, and the books of the Bible challenge! Below are those resources.

  • First, the memory verse videos here is the preschool video and here is the elementary video. These videos, for both our preschool and elementary aged kids, provide some simple American Sign Language to help kids learn the monthly verse.

  • Another challenge is for our Elementary Kids to use Determination as they memorize all the books of the Bible. Over the last few weeks, we shared our “Books of the Bible” playlist and a set of printable cards to help your kids memorize the books. (Keep tuning into our Instagram account each Wednesday for a new game you can play with the cards or simply go to the “bible games” archive on our Instagram page.)  If you would like a printed copy of the cards on cardstock, fill out this form and we’ll mail you a set of cards. Don’t forget to send us a video of your kids saying all 66 books of the Bible and we’ll make sure to send them a prize!

Thank you for allowing us to partner with you!

Preschool

Memory Verse: “Nothing at all can ever separate us from God’s love.”

Romans 8:39, NIrV

Bible Story Focus: God loves me no matter what.

Prodigal Son • Luke 15:11-24

Ask your kids: Who loves you? (God loves me)

Elementary

Memory Verse: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 NIV

Bible Story: Keep Holding On (Stephen) • Acts 6:1–7:60

Bottom Line: Keep going because God knows the end of the story.

Ask your kids: When were you scared but kept going?

How does knowing who God is and that He is always with us help us to keep going even when we are scared?
