KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of January 31st
Here are few resources and reminders for this week:
This season of living during a pandemic has been a long one, especially if you are a parent! Let’s face it, trying to work from home while homeschooling or caring for your kids can be a challenge. We all want to provide the best opportunities for our kids but sometimes we really need to get a project finished or we just need a few minutes of peace and quiet. For those of you with young kids, we have a resource that may help in those challenging moments. Waumba Land offers some great videos on YouTube that teach preschoolers the love of Jesus and begins to plant seeds of faith in our little ones.
Beginning in March for our online families, we would like to offer a virtual small group experience for kids in Kindergarten-5th grade. Each Sunday, a small group leader will guide a small group of kids through some review and application of that week’s lesson through a zoom call. We will provide the supplies needed for participating in these small group experiences. If you are interested in signing your kids up to be a part of this small group experience, fill our THIS form. We will contact you this week!
Next month, our theme in our Elementary environments will be “Challenge Accepted”. With the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday and the sports theme associated with this coming month, we are going to encourage kids to wear their favorite sports jersey or team shirt (ANY sport) next Sunday, February 7th. We think this will be a fun way to kick off our month learning about how Jesus helps us face challenges.

Preschool Resources

Step 1: Watch the video with your preschoolers.
Step 2: Review with your kids.
Ask your kids: How does God help you be a good friend? (God helps me care and share!)
Step 3: Practice the Memory Verse with your preschoolers.

Step 4: Print the Adventure Guide to use with your preschooler throughout the week.
