KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of February 14th
This is a very eventful week! Today is Valentine’s Day, tomorrow is President’s Day and Wednesday is the start of Lent. If you are unfamiliar with Lent, Lent is a time of personal reflection that prepares people’s hearts and minds for Good Friday and Easter. Many of us do some form of Advent calendar to prepare our kids for Christmas and today we have a resource that can help to prepare your kids for Easter. The Jesus Storybook Bible is one of our favorite Bibles for kids of all ages because it emphasizes the story of God’s great rescue story throughout the whole Bible and how He rescued us through Jesus. THIS plan utilizes the Jesus Storybook Bible to help us see how we needed to be rescued and How God accomplished our rescue! Print this resource off and enjoy this focused time preparing your hearts and minds for Easter.
Beginning in March for our online families, we would like to offer a virtual small group experience for kids in Kindergarten-5th grade. Each Sunday, a small group leader will guide a small group of kids through some review and application of that week’s lesson through a zoom call. We will provide the supplies needed for participating in these small group experiences. If you are interested in signing your kids up to be a part of this small group experience, fill our THIS form. Preschool Resources
Bible Story: A Test in the Desert: Jesus is Tempted
Big Idea: Sin makes your heart dirty! Eeew! Ask Jesus for His love and forgiveness. He will wash your heart pure and clean from sins. Stay pure by saying, “No!” to sins, like Jesus did when he was tested in the desert.
Step 1: Watch the video with your preschoolers.
Step 2: Review with your kids.
Ask your kids: What do you say to sins? (I say, “No” to sins!)
Step 3: Practice the Memory Verse with your preschoolers.
Memory Verse: “God, create a pure heart in me. ... ....” Psalm 51:10 NIRV
Step 4: Print the Adventure Guide to use with your preschooler throughout the week.

Ask Your Kids: Why is it more appealing sometimes to tell a lie rather than the truth? Why should we always choose truth?
