KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of February 28th
This Tuesday, March 2nd, is Read Across America Day. Many kids will be celebrating this day (which also happens to be Dr. Seuss’ birthday) in their classrooms this week. This annual event was started to encourage kids to read and of course, we’ve all heard the benefits of reading to kids. Some of these benefits include:
Supported cognitive development
Improved language skills
Preparation for academic success
Developing a special bond with your child
Increased concentration and discipline
Improved imagination and creativity
Cultivating. lifelong love of reading
This week, take some time to read with your kids, visit the library or even set an example for your kids by taking some time to read yourself! If you’re looking for something to read or something for your kids to read, check our our recommendations HERE.
Beginning in March for our online families, we would like to offer a virtual small group experience for kids in Kindergarten-5th grade. Each Sunday, a small group leader will guide a small group of kids through some review and application of that week’s lesson through a zoom call. Don’t forget to sign your kids up for our online small groups by filling out THIS form today.
Check out the resources below to lead your families this week! Thanks for partnering with us!
