Baptism: Rachel Osterhouldt
Rachel grew up going to church with her family and believed in Jesus growing up, but it was at a surface level. She struggled with identity issues in high school and fell into people-pleasing. When college came around, she lost nearly everything her identity had been in. She had been cut from the sports team she had tried out for and felt she had no real friends.
One day in the dining hall, a friend invited Rachel and her sister to a CRU meeting, and she ended up going on a fall CRU retreat later. It was there that she learned the true beauty of the gospel and decided to place her faith in Christ. Since then, her life has changed completely. She has a joy that cannot be matched by anything in the world. No longer does she worry about where her identity is now that she has rooted it in Christ.
Today, Rachel is getting baptized to declare that she is a follower of Jesus and that she wants to make him the leader of her life.
