Baptism: Ryan Smith

Before Christ, Ryan constantly battled between right and wrong.  He grew up going to church with his family but was along for the ride. In college, faith took a backseat to academics and athletics.  That is where he found his community.

On Easter Sunday, 2023, Drew preached a sermon series called “Who is this Jesus?” At the end of that sermon, Ryan knew Jesus was the only way.  He prayed to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and that was the day everything changed for him.  He grew in his relationship with Christ and in his friendships at Northridge.  Church is no longer an obligation for Ryan but a home.  He still faces daily struggles but has a community in Christ to hold him accountable.

Ryan is getting baptized to show his family and friends that he has chosen to follow God in the good times and bad.  He hopes his story will plant a mustard seed of faith for someone else listening who hasn’t yet decided to come to Christ.
