Baptism: Ace Maurice
When Ace was younger, she started going to church with her dad after her parents divorced. As time went on she struggled in her relationship with her father due to some of his choices and she eventually fell away from church and her father. If her father represented Christ, she didn’t want to be a part of that. When Ace’s grandma died, she lifted her head and saw something that neither Ace nor her mother could identify. She felt what she knew was the presence of God when she prayed that if it was time for her grandma to go, take her.
The day after her grandma’s death, she took her English teacher, Mr. Suffoletto, up on his invitation to attend Northridge with him and his family. That week, she started to believe that Christ died for her. He helped her get away from all of the suffering and disorders that she had struggled with over the years and is still helping her with that. She finds it less difficult because now she knows she has Christ with her.
