If you haven’t checked out all the resources for kids on RightNow Media, you are missing out! RightNow Media has thousands of Bible study videos and resources for families and it’s all free when you sign up here. You’ll find videos and music for kids of all ages. If you’re looking for something that will help keep your preschoolers or early elementary students thinking about the Fruit of the Spirit, check out the animated series, Auto-B-Good. “Join the Auto-B-Good crew in ten adventures that are fuel-injected with valuable moral lessons! Fruits of the Spirit includes stories about joyfulness, peacefulness, goodness, and self-control - all packed with thrills, laughs, and a meaningful faith message that will last a lifetime.” Check out the series here.

In addition to this video series, we also have our family devotional that accompanies this series. This devotional contains multiple discussion questions that are great for engaging your kids in conversations about each Fruit of the Spirit. The other side of the sheet walks kids through the S.O.A.P. method so that they can learn a simple method for studying ANY passage of Scripture. Use the Scripture passage on the front of the sheet and then follow these steps…

  • SCRIPTURE—Choose a verse or a passage to read. A good place to start is to use the passage listed on the back of the devotional page (see above) that applies to this week’s lesson.

  • OBSERVATION—Write down interesting facts or points you see in this Scripture. This is a great place to ask some who, what, when, where, why questions.

  • APPLICATION—Ask yourself, “How does this apply to my life?” For younger kids ask, “What will you do today because of what you read?” Let them fill in the blank, “I Will __________ today.”

  • PRAYER—Ask God to help you. Kids can write out a simple prayer to God or use that spot to list out the things they are praying for. You can find the sheet here:

Check our the resources below to see what your kids are learning this week in our kids environments! Have a great week!
