KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of April 4th

Happy Easter! We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Today, all of our Kid Ministry environments will be learning about the sacrifice Jesus made on behalf of all of us. Here is a summary of what your kids will be learning about his month:

Preschool: Preschoolers will be working through a unit called “A Happy Sunday: The Empty Tomb” and will take a closer look at the resurrection of Jesus. They will learn how our sins separate us from God, but God had a plan of grace to bring us back to friendship with Him. Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. He rose again three days later. We accept God’s grace by choosing to believe Jesus lives again and asking for His forgiveness and leadership.

Elementary: Grab your hiking boots and pitch a tent. It’s time to summit through the story of Jesus—who rose from death and gave us everything we need for our journey. This month, we’re learning about how the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection strengthens us and changes our relationships in the best way. Everyone will have a chance to put these ideas in their backpack to carry with them always: Jesus overcame death. Jesus connects us to each other. Jesus gives encouragement. We are stronger with Jesus.

Last Week Legos: We hope you and your school age kids enjoyed the family devotional we provided last Sunday. Don’t forget to send us a picture of your child’s creation (KidsMin@northridgerochester.com) OR post it on our Facebook or Instagram pages using the #LastWeekLegos. One family will be randomly selected to win a $50 gift card to Radio Social! Deadline is Wednesday, April 7th.

Beechwood Blossoms Giving Project: Our current giving project for kids will benefit 411 Ministries Beechwood, one of our Beyond partners that helps to strengthen families and end poverty in our city. They planted the 441 Beechwood Community Garden to help provide fresh produce in the neighborhood and to create a place to build community. The garden has 31 raised plots for growing fruits and veggies and works to share food with those in need in the community! Let’s help the Beechwood Garden by raising $500 for soil and seeds this SPRING! We now have a new opportunity for you to give! You can give online to Beechwood Blossoms by texting “Northridge” to 77977 and select “Beechwood Blossoms” under the fund dropdown

Parent & Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly recognize their children are a gift from God and to dedicate themselves to Christ-centered parenting. If you are interested in registering for Parent & Child Dedication on Sunday, April 25th, sign up here. The deadline for registering is next Sunday, April 11th.

Check out this week’s resources below! Thanks for partnering with us!
