KiDS Weekly Experience Guide & Parent Cue: week of April 11th

It was great to see so many kids at each of our campuses last week as we celebrated Easter. We hope that you found the Last Week Legos and the Resurrection Boxes to be a helpful tool in leading your children to think about the sacrifices Jesus made on our behalf. Congratulations to the Shimp family! They are the winners of our Last Week Lego challenge!

Parent & Child Dedication: TODAY is the deadline to register for Parent & Child Dedication on Sunday, April 25th. Parent & Child Dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly recognize their children are a gift from God and to dedicate themselves to Christ-centered parenting. If you would like to participate, sign up here.

Beechwood Blossoms Giving Project: Our current giving project for kids will benefit 411 Ministries Beechwood, one of our Beyond partners that helps to strengthen families and end poverty in our city. They planted the 441 Beechwood Community Garden to help provide fresh produce in the neighborhood and to create a place to build community. The garden has 31 raised plots for growing fruits and veggies and works to share food with those in need in the community! Let’s help the Beechwood Garden by raising $500 for soil and seeds this SPRING! We now have a new opportunity for you to give! You can give online to Beechwood Blossoms by texting “Northridge” to 77977 and select “Beechwood Blossoms” under the fund dropdown

Check out this week’s resources below! Thanks for partnering with us!

Preschool Resources

Bible Story: A HAPPY SUNDAY: The Empty Tomb

Big Idea: Our sins separate us from God, but God had a plan of grace to bring us back to friendship with Him. Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins. He rose again three days later. We accept God’s grace by choosing to believe Jesus lives again and asking for His forgiveness and leadership.

Step 1: Watch the video with your preschoolers.

Step 2: Review with your kids.

Ask your kids: How can I be God’s friend? (Jesus makes me God’s friend because I believe He lives again!)

Step 3: Practice the Memory Verse with your preschoolers.

Memory Verse: “...believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, ...” Romans 10:9 NLT

Step 4: Print the Adventure Guide to use with your preschooler throughout the week.
