Baptism: Fernando Sanchez

Fernando was baptized as a baby and raised Catholic. He used to read the bible but didn't feel ready to pursue a relationship with Christ until his mother passed away of cancer in 2018.

Fernando has traveled quite a bit over the past years and never felt compelled to pursue a faith community. After moving to Rochester, he found a home in Northridge through a post on his friend DJ’s social media page. 

He used to talk about church with a friend, but it didn’t resonate until he met DJ. It wasn't just DJ being deaf that influenced him in his pursuit of God, but also his encouragement. This gave Fernando the courage to improve himself and his relationship with Christ.

Since joining Northridge, he has been truly committed and satisfied in his faith.
