Baptism: Darren Hernandez

Darren was raised in a Catholic family that took faith very seriously. As he grew older, he started to disregard the faith. It wasn’t till later that he wanted to learn more about Jesus.

A friend invited Darren to Northridge, and soon after, they decided to join a Community Group where they were studying Ephesians. Through this study and the conversations there, God started to speak to and move in him.

After Easter service, Darren decided that Jesus was the leader of his life and forgiver of his sins. A verse that particularly spoke to him was Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Darren has been so inspired by this newfound faith, and he hopes his children will see and experience the same faith he has.
