My First Christmas: Dylan Walshvelo

Before knowing Christ, Christmas was always about gift-giving and presents—there was little emphasis on faith. But since trusting in Jesus this past February, Dylan has a new understanding of Jesus, his birth, and everything that means for him. The idea of Christmas really hits him differently now that faith has really become a part of who he is.

Dylan finds inspiration from the word “Emmanuel,”  which means “God with us.” Thinking about the fact that God is really with us fills Dylan with hope and amazement.

Dylan hopes his first Christmas will be amazing, inspirational, and full of new meaning. As a new Christian, he finds himself both excited and a bit nervous, hoping for the opportunity to talk with his friends and family about God and show them who Jesus truly is.
